Introduction and Overview
The junior sisters of the provinces of INT and INM were blessed with a profound opportunity to renew their zeal and passion for the Lord during a spiritually enriching two-day event of animation and recollection in Kodambakkam on 10 – 11 August 2024.
Day One: Recollection
The first day was dedicated to recollection, guided by Rev. Fr. Antony Christy. He delivered an insightful talk on Synodality, which resonated deeply with the sisters. They also had the chance to receive graces through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, moments of adoration, and participation in the Holy Mass. Personal prayer with Jesus further enriched their spiritual experience, creating a serene atmosphere for reflection and renewal.
Day Two: Animation and Prayer Life
The second day of the event focused on animation and began with the serenity of morning prayer, setting a peaceful tone for the day. Rev. Sr. DJ. Margaret, the Provincial of the INM Province, led the day’s activities with a thought-provoking talk on prayer life, drawing from the Constitutions. Group discussions followed, where sisters shared insights and reflections on prayer life according to their respective batches, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
Creative Expression and Eucharistic Celebration
A key highlight of the second day was the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, which served as a moment of unity and spiritual renewal. Following this, the sisters engaged in a creative exercise where each batch presented different volumes of Chronistoria through imaginative and lively presentations. This activity not only showcased the sisters’ creativity but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of their shared history and mission.
Conclusion: An Enriching Experience
The event was a truly enriching experience for all the junior sisters, providing them with the opportunity to reconnect with their companions and rekindle their spiritual energy. The combination of prayer, reflection, and creative expression made the two days both memorable and transformative, leaving the sisters rejuvenated and inspired in their vocational journey.
