Viva Gesu!
Dear and Rev. Sr. Superior and the Local Media Coordinator (LMC),Greetings and prayerful wishes to you! I am certain that the sisters who participated in the Media Minds Meet in July 2023 had an enriching experience learning the various apps and programs that can facilitate our mission with the young on social media. It is now time to give the same impetus to the staff and students from all our institutions who are part of the media clubs.
We shall keep to the central theme chosen for this year, from the message of Holy Father Pope Francis for the 57th World Day of Social Communications – a challenging call towards Speaking with the heart “the truth in love” (Eph 4:15).Everyone today is on some social media platform, which thus becomes a powerful medium for communication, with no much difference between the cities and the remote areas and specially among the youngsters. The influence of this medium, has indeed given rise to a different genre of communication, where conversations are quick and spread of information is extremely rapid. It takes knowledge, skill and practice to keep abreast with the generation in a paced progress.
Hence it becomes mandatory today, that we do all within our capacity to educate the staff and orient the students in the institutions of our Province on a responsible living in the world of Media! We propose therefore a one-day animation for the staff and students of the South Zone of our Province on 26th August 2023. Students from IX to XII standard and Staff responsible for Media Clubs in Schools and Colleges can participate. The number of students and staff expected to participate from each of these houses are mentioned below
