The Animators’ Meet was held on 13 and 14 December 2025 at St. Francis
Xavier Convent, Broadway, Chennai. On 13 December, a one-day Leadership Training Program was
organized for the animators of our communities, facilitated by Mr. Nathan N eville Philip, Chief
Learning Officer, SedSap Learning. Rooted in Gospel values, the training focused on strengthening
community relationships, effective communication, conflict resolution, building community morale,
and servant leadership, aiming to foster unity, harmony, and a culture of communion in our
communities through reflective exercises, dialogue, and practical situations from religious life. On 14
December, the second day, I offered the Animators a session on “Biblical Leadership,” centered on
the five “Cs”: Character (King David), Calling (Moses at the burning bush), Competence (Nehemiah:
prayer leading to planning), Community (the Emmaus journey), and Christ-Centeredness (less of self
and more of Christ), highlighting that authentic leadership seeks to glorify God and fulfil His will
rather than focus on personal performance.
